KUWAIT, Feb 21 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Friday evening after leading Kuwait delegation to a consultative meeting by the leaders of the GCC states, Egypt and Jordan in Riyadh.
He expressed profound gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality offered to him and his entourage during his official visit to the Kingdom.
In his message, His Highness the Amir spoke highly of the deep-rooted historical bonds between the brotherly peoples of both countries.
Commending the just-ended consultative meeting, he said it reflected the distinguished status of the Kingdom and leading role on the regional and international arenas amid "highly-complicated challenges in our region." He cited as an example of those challenges the suffering of the brotherly people of Palestine.
His Highness the Amir expressed hope that the countries would share same views on the major issues of common concern in order to "ensure better future and realize the aspirations of our nations." He wished King Salman everlasting wellbeing and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia more prosperity and progress under his wise leadership. (pickup previous) gb
