RIYADH, Feb 22 (KUNA) -- Director-General of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Joint Program Production Institution (GCCJPPI) Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Saba Saturday commended Saudi Media Forum as a platform to share regional and global media views and visions.
He said, in a press statement while attending the fourth edition of the forum, that figures of regional and international weight from all walks of life partook in the pan-GCC media gathering.
"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's hosting of this significant event is a source of pride for all Gulf people," he stressed.
He also spoke highly of the exhibition held on the sidelines of the forum as an opportunity for the participants to be updated on new media technologies involving artificial intelligence and augmented reality.
The Saudi Media Forum, held from February 19-21, highlights the Kingdom's media leadership on the global stage, aiming at supporting innovation and development of modern technologies in the media industry, building strategic partnerships with media organizations locally and internationally, and strengthening the role of media as a tool for sustainable development.
