RAMALLAH, Feb 22 (KUNA) -- Hamas has handed five more Israeli occupation prisoners to the Red Cross as part of a recently reached 15-month-long Gaza ceasefire and prisoner swap deal.
Of the five, three prisoners were handed over to the Red Cross in Nuseirat, central Gaza, while two were freed in Rafah City.
In return, the Israeli occupation will release 602 Palestinian prisoners and detainees, including 50 sentenced to life imprisonment and 108 to be deported outside Palestinian territories.
Hamas said in a press statement that handing five Israeli occupation prisoners over to the Red Cross today affirms the movement's abidance by the Gaza deal. (end)
