NEW YORK, Feb 23 (KUNA) -- UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres underlined Sunday on the urgent need to reach a just and comprehensive peace that respects the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine under international law.
The war in Ukraine is a grave threat to peace, security, and the very foundation of UN principles, only 80 years after the end of World War II, said Guterres on the third anniversary of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
He welcomed all efforts aimed at achieving a just and inclusive peace and affirmed the UN's readiness to support such an effort. (end) ast.hss.sas
