By Adel Al-Enenzi RIYADH, 24 Feb (KUNA) -- President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) Dr. Mohammad Bakleh affirmed, Monday, that Kuwait's aid to Syria showed deep commitment to humanitarian values and dedication to addressing crises and disasters at all times.
Speaking to KUNA after meeting with Chairman of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Ambassador Khaled Al-Maqamis on the sidelines of the Fourth Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum, Bakleh commended efforts of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for the in providing various humanitarian aid to Syria.
He also expressed gratitude for KRCS's role in supporting the Syrian people through relief, medical, and development assistance.
He noted that SARC had previously helped distributing Kuwaiti food aid to Syrian bakeries, as well as wheelchairs and ambulances to the Syrian Ministry of Health.
Oh his part, Ambassador Al-Maqamis said that the Kuwaiti aid to the Arab country reached 727 tons as part of "Kuwait by Your Side" campaign.
He reaffirmed Kuwait's firm commitment to continuing its humanitarian and relief aid to Syria, highlighting the ongoing coordination with the SARC to access and fulfill their needs through the Kuwaiti air bridge.
Al-Maqamis emphasized Kuwait's contributions have significantly bolstered global humanitarian efforts, underscoring its firm support for those in need worldwide. (end) ash.sar
