CAIRO, Feb 26 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmad Aboul-Gheit on Wednesday strongly denounced the recent airstrikes and aggressions launched by Israeli occupation forces on Syria.
In a press statement, he said these aggressions mark "a reckless provocation and escalation seizing the opportunity of political transformation in Syria to establish an illegal and illegitimate reality".
He underlined that the Israeli occupation of any Syrian land is deemed a breach of international law, while calling on the international community to take clear-cut stances to condemn this unprovoked aggression.
The Arab bloc's chief reiterated Arab solidarity with Syria versus the Israeli aggression on its territory and exposed occupation schemes to "sow the seeds of sedition". (end) mfm.mt
