GAZA, Feb 27 (KUNA) -- The Israeli occupation forces released on Thursday 45 Palestinian children and women, thus completing the first phase of the ceasefire-hostage release deal in Gaza Strip that came into effect on January 19.
The Israeli occupation authorities delayed this final swap for a few hours under the pretext of verifying the identities of the bodies of four dead Israeli hostages handed over by Hamas earlier today.
Speaking to KUNA, Asmaa Shatat, who was set free, said the Israeli army injured her husband while she was in jail, threatening her to kill her children. Mahmoud Al-Saqa said he was arrested from Khan Yunis and tortured, along others, by the Israeli forces, referring to starvation of prisoners at Israeli jails. (pickup previous) wab.hss.hm
