RAMALLAH, March 2 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Namaa charity, part of the Social Reform Society, completed equipping the main prayer hall of the Great Omari Mosque in Gaza in collaboration with its field partner, the Palestine Al-Ghad Society for Community Development.
In a statement, Executive Vice President of Namaa Charity, Abdulaziz Al-Kandari stated that this initiative is to meet the needs of Gazans, as the mosque faces infrastructure challenges amid the ongoing aggression by the Israeli occupation.
He explained that the preparation includes providing new carpeting for the prayer hall, upgrading the sound and light systems, installing fans and air conditioning for the worshippers' comfort, and renovating facilities.
Al-Kandari affirmed that the charity is proud to be part of this initiative and to support the people of Gaza in this sacred month.
He further said that mosques are not just places of worship but social, educational gatherings, hoping this project would create a suitable environment for the worshippers during Ramadan.
Al-Kandari reaffirmed the charity's firm commitment to create humanitarian projects that make a tangible impact, emphasizing the organization's dedication to supporting mosques and Islamic centers.
He expressed gratitude to Kuwaiti donors, stressing that these initiatives would not be possible without their continuous support to Gaza and other communities in need, calling for everyone to continue this support.
