RAMALLAH, March 2 (KUNA) - Kuwait's Al-Najat Charitable Society launched a project to distribute 10,000 Iftar meals daily in the Gaza Strip throughout the holy month of Ramadan, as part of the "Iftar for a Million Fasting People" campaign.
In a statement Sunday, the Palestinian Wafa Foundation for Development and Capacity Building, the project's implementing body in Gaza, said that meals will be distributed throughout the holy month of Ramadan on a daily basis to the camps for the displaced and affected families in the north and south of the Strip.
The campaign organized the longest Ramadan table in the southern Gaza Strip, where more than 3,000 fasting people gathered at the Iftar table, in addition to another table in the northern Gaza Strip that included more than a thousand fasting people in an atmosphere that reflects the spirit of solidarity.
