MUSCAT, March 3 (KUNA) -- Omani Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi spoke with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on regional issues of common concern, including the efforts to deescalate tensions in the Middle East.
During a phone conversation on Monday, the two top diplomats explored ways for reaching peaceful solutions to the regional conflicts and establishing fair and comprehensive peace through constructive dialogue.
They also reviewed the historical friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic, trade and cultural areas, according to a statement from the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Both sides reaffirmed commitment to the strategic dialogue and the partnership programs which serve the common interests of both countries, the statement added. (end)
