WASHINGTON, March 3 (KUNA) -- US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Czech Republic Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky discussed on Monday some topics of mutual concern, including the United States' request on raising contributions of the NATO member states to the bloc's defense budget.
During a telephone call, Rubio confirmed to Lipavsky US President Donald Trump's determination to end permanently the war between Russia and Ukraine, US Department of State spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said in a statement.
The two ministers stressed the significance of the US-Czech relations across the globe, including support of peace and stability, she added.
Czech, along Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, forms the NATO eastern wing. (end)
