November 24, 2024 (JUBA) – South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of State, Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan met in Juba on Saturday. The two sides explored bilateral relations between the UAE and South Sudan across areas of mutual interest. The minister, a statement noted, conveyed the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s message to his South Sudan counterpart. It said the UAE wishes further progress and prosperity for the government and people of South Sudan. For his part, however, Kiir conveyed his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court. The South Sudanese leader also expressed his wishes of further development and growth for the government and people of the UAE.
